Taylor is 8!

Our baby girl turned 8! I know I'm always saying it, but she is growing up way too quickly for my liking. She had a good birthday. We checked her out of school early and took her to Brick Oven for lunch. Then we came home and watched way too much Harry Potter. In the evening I cooked her favorite meal and her grandparents came over to visit. Not a super eventful birthday, but fun nonetheless.

Taylor is obsessed with Harry Potter at the moment so all she wanted for her birthday was Harry Potter movies. She was so excited to get them. We were going to take her out to a movie for her birthday, but she decided she'd rather stay at home and watch Harry Potter.

Family Pictures

We finally had our family pictures taken! It's only been 4 years since our last family picture was taken, but we decided it was time for an update. Here are a few of my favorites.

Halloween

Taylor is obsessed with Harry Potter right now, so when it came time to choose a Halloween costume, she knew exactly what she wanted to be...Hermoine Granger (Harry's best friend for those who don't know).

You'd better watch out or she might cast a spell on you.

Taylor had a lot of fun trick-or-treating with her cousins. We got rained on, but the kids didn't seem to care. They were just excited to be getting candy.

First day of School

Taylor started 2nd grade today. Where did time go? It's hard to believe my baby girl has grown up so much. Taylor was a little nervous to start school because she doesn't know anyone in her class. All of her friends are in different classes. I'm sure she'll make friends quickly though.

Camping

We went camping at Mirror Lake this past week. It was nice to spend time with Jeremy and Taylor. We fished, relaxed, and fished some more. I took a lot of pictures. Here are the ones I narrowed it down to.

Taylor had a great time fishing. She wanted to fish all of the time. She even learned how to cast out by herself.

Taylor and Jeremy

This is after she caught her first fish. Can you tell she's a little excited?

It took a lot of prompting to get Taylor to hold one of the fish she caught.

My good looking man

Taylor likes to make silly faces for the camera lately. I'm not sure why she does, but I still think she's awfully cute.
Roasting marshmallows. Again, with the silly face.

Animal Farm

When we lived in Lehi we visited the animal farm almost weekly. Since we moved to Payson 3 years ago, we have yet to go back. Taylor has missed feeding the animals and the pony rides. She has been begging me for quite some time to visit the farm. On Tuesday we finally went. I was a little worried that Taylor wouldn't enjoy it as much now that she's older, but she had a lot of fun and I'm sure she'll be asking to go back soon.

Doesn't she look pathetic behind bars?

I sure miss living so close to the animal farm and all of the other fun things at Thanksgiving Point. We are going to have to drive up there more often.
